Pancreatitis
I used my Drunk Elephant products for a couple of weeks and intended on writing about the products yesterday, but I've been preoccupied. My pup, Mochi, has not been well and we have been making emergency trips to the vet to get him sorted. Yesterday he was diagnosed with pancreatitis and I've had to keep a close eye on him.
I knew something was wrong when he wasn't his ravenous and mischievous self.
We returned to the vet today because his fever went up this morning and he refused to eat rice and scrambled eggs, his favorites. During our three hour visit, he had two ultrasounds, had several needles poke him to get blood cultures, and had another IV to rehydrate him and to give him more meds. The medication and today's treatment seemed to have helped because when we arrived home, he went straight to his food bowl and finished his rice and eggs (his breakfast). I was also able to give him his medication.
The ultrasound showed enlarged lymph nodes, which they drained a bit, and they also took blood cultures of his lymph nodes. Now, we wait... we have to wait until Monday for the results. I hope and pray it's not lymphoma.
